Dr. Linda Goodwin earned her M.D. degree at Penn State after graduating from the University of New York at Buffalo. She received her pediatric residency training at Chapel Hill and spent an extra year in developmental pediatrics. This prepared her to work with children who have learning disabilities, physical delays and behavioral problems. She is also interested in treating teenagers. She joined our group in 1985. Her husband is a psychiatrist in Hendersonville. The Goodwins have one daughter and one son. Dr. Goodwin's interests include hiking, cooking, bridge, and traveling.
   
   
Dr. Anne Smith is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She completed her pediatrics residency training and was chief resident at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Her special interests include adolescent medicine and child development. She has learned some Spanish through her experience in D.C's spanish speaking community. She joined the practice in 2000. Her husband teaches world history and coaches baseball at Hendersonville High School. Dr. Smith enjoys running, hiking, cooking and traveling. The Smiths have one daughter.
   
Dr. Derek Moss, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He completed his residency at West Virginia University in Morganton, West Virginia and stayed for another year as chief resident. Dr. Moss and his wife Claire grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and have moved closer to Hendersonville to be with family after their son's birth in March, 2001.
   
Dr. Brent Baker joined the practice in July of 2001 after completing his pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga Unit. He is a graduate of the John Hopkins University and the Medical University of South Carolina. His special interests include respiratory and pulmonary medicine and infant care. Dr. Baker's wife, Tonya, is a pharmacist with CVS Pharmacy. His hobbies and interests include music, computers, and hockey and together they enjoy hiking, gardening, and traveling.
