Rebecca Fleming, RD, LDN

Rebecca Fleming, RD, LDN Registered Dietitian (Hendersonville Office on Thursday afternoons only)

Rebecca Fleming grew up in Jupiter, FL and earned her bachelors’ degree (BS) in Nutrition and Dietetics at Keiser University in Port St. Lucie, FL. Since entering the field of dietetics, she has specialized in eating disorders. She works with patients of all ages, with a particular interest of those aged 0-18. She has worked in facilities that have offered all levels of care including inpatient, outpatient, IOP, and PHP. She follows a non-diet HAES approach and focuses on creating a safe and judgement free environment with all patients. During her free time she enjoys quiet mornings with a hot beverage, a book, and her German Shepherd. She also enjoys spending time outside on the trails and curling up at night to a horror movie. 


Laura Cook, Ph.D.

Laura Cook, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist (Hendersonville and Brevard Offices)

Dr. Laura Cook grew up in Hartsville, SC and received her bachelor’s degree (BS) from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. She received both her master’s degree (MA) and doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. There, she received general clinical training with an emphasis on working with children and adolescents. During Dr. Cook’s pre-doctoral internship and fellowship years with the Munroe Meyer Institute in Omaha, NE and Geisinger Health System in Pottsville, PA, she received specialized training in integrated primary care behavioral health. Dr. Cook worked with Geisinger Health System for 6 years, serving as lead psychologist in an integrated care clinic before joining the Hendersonville Pediatrics Behavioral Medicine Team in 2022. She provides evidence-based care and works with patients ages 0-18, particularly enjoying her work with children 10 and under. She treats a wide range of behavioral health concerns, but specializes in disruptive behaviors, toileting, and sleep. In addition to short-term therapy services, Dr. Cook offers Autism assessment services. Dr. Cook is excited to be back in the south and looks forward to exploring the beautiful state of North Carolina with her (not so mini) mini goldendoodle, Jackson.


Melissa Pearl, M.S.W.

Melissa Pearl, M.S.W. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Brevard Office)

Melissa is originally from Franklin, TN, and earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology at Belmont University. After working as a staff in a nearby Wilderness Therapy program, she returned to graduate school to receive her Masters of Social Work (MSW) with an emphasis on Child/Adolescent Mental Health at Chapel Hill in 2008. She completed her clinical licensure in 2011, and since that time has worked with many populations, in a variety of settings including residential wilderness therapy, community mental health, and her own private practice. She primarily sees children 5 and over, and believes in a holistic approach to being our best selves. Melissa is a trained facilitator in the Circle of Security Parenting model and is training to become a certified kids’ yoga instructor. Melissa and her husband live with their fabulous kiddos in Brevard. She enjoys gardening, yoga, getting crafty, and playing outdoors with her family of five.


Advanced Care Team

Hendersonville Pediatrics, P.A. is pleased to offer, through special arrangement, on-site behavioral health screenings and treatment services for children from newborn to 18 years of age. These services range from brief and time-limited consultations or sessions to long-term counseling services. Common presenting concerns include behavior problems (e.g., temper tantrums, oppositional behavior, anger episodes), toileting or bed wetting difficulties, sleep problems, picky eating, anxiety or stress, habit disorders (e.g., thumb sucking, nail biting, hair pulling), behavioral treatment of ADHD, depression, family conflict, school problems, sibling or peer difficulties, and many more. As your child’s medical home, this integration between primary care and behavioral health allows Hendersonville Pediatrics to care for your child on a more holistic premise. Please talk with your child’s doctor if you feel there is a need for a behavioral medicine referral or simply call and make an appointment.


Elizabeth Williams, Ph.D.

Elizabeth Williams, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist (Hendersonville Office)

Dr. Elizabeth Williams grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She received both her Master’s (M.A.) and Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from East Tennessee State University. There, she received specialized training in integrated primary care behavioral health and worked in Pediatric and Family Medicine practices. She spent a year as a Visiting Assistant Professor at East Tennessee State University before joining the Hendersonville Pediatrics Behavioral Medicine team in January 2017. She believes that behavioral health care is for everyone, and uses scientifically validated approaches to help children, teens, and families.  She works with all ages, from toddlers through graduating seniors, and especially enjoys working with teenagers.  She currently accepts Medicaid, Healthchoice, BCBS, and Medcost insurances, as well as self-pay. In her spare time she enjoys running, backpacking, paper crafting and going on adventures with her two children.
