Germs Are Coming... We've Got Backup!
Cold and Flu Season is here.
We're ready to help keep your kids protected!
Flu Vaccine
Available to everyone 6 months and older
- Flu can cause serious illness in children, even those who are otherwise healthy.
- The flu vaccine can reduce the risk of getting the flu, severe illness, hospitalization, and death.
- The flu vaccine can NOT give your child the flu.
- Children receiving the flu vaccine for the first time may need 2 doses, depending on their age and vaccine history.
- Common side effects of the flu vaccine are mild and may include: soreness at the injection site, fatigue, headache, and low grade fever.
Please note: Our office only carries the flu shot - we do not carry the FluMist nasal spray vaccine.
RSV Immunization
Available to infants younger than 9 months old
- RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) is very common virus, but can cause bronchiolitis, pneumonia, and hospitalization, especially in infants.
- RSV protection for infants is provided by a long-acting monoclonal antibody, not a traditional vaccine.
- RSV immunization helps protect infants during the months when RSV is most common.
- Certain high-risk children aged 8-19 months may qualify for protection during their 2nd RSV season*
*Please speak to a provider if you have questions about whether your child qualifies for this.
