Hundreds of parents, current and past patients, family and friends came out to Oskar Blues on Sunday, May 1st, to send Dr. Wells off to retirement in style!

Throughout the day, there were laughs, tears, and lots of smiles and hugs as folks came out to thank Dr. Wells and wish him well as he moves into retirement. The day was a celebration of a career that spanned over 40 years with Hendersonville Pediatrics.

Throughout the day, the well-wishers were enthralled and entertained as Dr. Myers gave a history of Dr. Wells time at the practice, followed by some send-off gifts that included a bag of tootsie rolls, (Dr. Wells is known for supplementing tootsie rolls into diapers and giving the sample a "taste" test), wrapped in a package of Depends.

The Brevard Rotary Club presented a Book Station dedicated to Dr. Wells, complete with artwork of him playing his bagpipes.

Speaking of bagpipes, the Montreat Scottish Pipes and Drums marched in for a performance, followed by a clogging hoedown in which Dr. Wells was featured center-stage.
All in all, the weather held out for a fabulous afternoon of fun. Dr. Wells, we'll miss you in the office, so please don't be a stranger and come visit us sometimes!
